PMS jokes. Being a female, this is a terrible thing to be annoyed by. In most cases, I can't defend how much these jokes are lacking humor, truth, and substance because the ignorant person saying the joke will say, 'well someone is PMSing.' Ha. Ha? How are these jokes STILL being circulated? I cannot emphasize enough that I don't find these jokes humour just because I am a girl. I don't find them funny because I happen to have a decent sense of humor and I'm not bias when it comes to jokes.
So please, think twice before you open your mouth to tell me a PMS joke.
Can I get an amen?

just so you know.
At work today I was real superfreaky busy. I was working hard all day that I am now putting two words together to make one word. I got there at about 8:20 am and I left at 7:00pm. Needless to say, I got a lot done, and boy did I get it done well. In the midst of all the busyness, I was assisting a fellow co-worker and I sadly witnessed one of my biggest pet peeves... making my anxiety level rise almost immediately.
She was doing a simple 'copy and paste' technique when I was helping her out. Sounds harmless, right? Wrong. So, so wrong. She did it the old fashioned way... *right click-copy* *left click-paste* AHHHH!! I mean, do what you want when I'm not helping, but it stresses me out to watch somebody do copy and pastes (numerous times in a row) by right clicking to do so. I finally enlightened her and she hasn't looked back since.
In conclusion, if you don't Ctrl+C Ctrl+V you might as well Ctrl+Z our friendship.

ipod playlist flashback.
Today at work, while sitting in my cubical I like to call my cave, I shuffled (by shuffle, I mean I intentionally went to) onto my aged playlists from highschool and post highschool. Let me tell you, Flash. Back.
It was crazy! I honestly couldn't tell you when the last time was that I listened to these besides, highschool of course. Every song took me back to what I felt at the time and what the song meant to me when I created the playlist. It almost is like an old diary in the form of a playlist. Now thinking about it, I'm glad 17 year old Kaleena had a serious daily habit of making playlists... I'm reaping the benefits of it now. Holler.
**I have a side thought about the statements 'I honestly' or 'I'm not going to lie'. I am guilty of using both more than I should. But seriously, when statements like these are said it implies that in most cases you are lying when sharing a thought/statement. From now on, they are both dead to my vocab. I honestly am not going to lie. HA! Shoot, I am already off to a terrible start.

mom, i love you because...
I love you because you always took care of me when I was sick.
I love you because you call me when the weather is bad, to see if I made it to work alright.
I love you because you are the sweetest mom, no matter what.
I love you because you are always there for me even when I was a brat.
I love you because you used to play nintendo with me before I left for kindergarten.
I love you because you always settled for less and never complain.
I love you because you worry about me more than you need to.
I love you because you always put other people before yourself.
I love you because you comfort me when I would call home from sleepovers homesick.
I love you because of the songs you used to sing to get me and my sisters up in the morning.
I love you because you sacrificed so much to have me and my sisters.
I love you mom!

it's almost my birthday, i'll make a list if i want to.
Guess what? My birthday is coming up! 48 days to be exact. June 25th. I never know what I want when people ask, so I'm trying to make a list, both realistic and non-realistic. Here is what I've come up with so far:
1.Bike
2.Sewing machine
3.A trip to Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee.
I guess all I have so far is the non-realistic list. :)

my spot.
There is this spot up on 11th avenue by the City Cemetery that is my spot. I go up there if I'm bored, for the spectacular view, to think, to take pictures, or just to be alone. I really love it up there on 11th avenue. I went up there today actually and it was the first time I've been up to my spot in a loooooooooooong time. There is only one other person in the whole wide world that knows about this spot, besides me.
Left: This is where I sit.
Right: One of the most spectacular views in Salt Lake.
ANYHOO. Today is one the laziest Saturdays I've had in a while and it. is. awesome. In fact, I'm still in my pajamas, on the couch, watching Scrubs. Shoot, if I'm feeling up to it, I just might make some scrambled eggs with cheese here in a minute.

for all you lexophiles. part II
1. I wondered why the baseball was getting bigger. Then it hit me.
2. Police were called to a day care where a three-year-old was resisting a rest.
3. A thief who stole a calendar got twelve months.
4. Atheism is a non-prophet organization.
5. California smog test: Can U.C.L.A. ?
6. The butcher backed into the meat grinder machine. He got a little behind in his work.

today is not cinco de mayo...
...it's my Grandma's birthday! I mean, duh, technically it is Cinco De Mayo, but to me, it's my Grandma's birthday. Happy Birthday Grandma!
My work tries to play mind games with it's employees by making them think it's not so bad working here. For example: they hired a roadside taco stand to come set up camp in our back parking lot on Wednesdays. It worked. Their sneaky plan indeed worked. Have you ever had a taco from those stands? Please do. They are the best, cheapest tacos you will even consume in this life. Once the tacos and I made eye contact, I knew I would be eating three.

ode to cheese fries.
This week I got back on my Special K diet. I swear, I never crave cheese fries more than when I know I can't have them. What is not to like? Fries? GOOD. Cheese? Makes everything taste better. Cheese fries? Yes, puh-lease! My belly has been growling all morning and it does an extra loud growl when I catch myself fantasizing about leaving work and sliding down a slide into a pool of cheese fries. I think I have a problem.

bits of my weekend.
This weekend was unfortunate. Now before we all jump to conclusions, I still had a dandy time but at work today when I got asked the typical Monday "how was your weekend, what did you do??" I was like, hmmm, what did I do? NOTHING! Did I really do nothing? Yikes... settle down Kaleena, you are going to be all partied and worn out by the time you are twenty-one!
However, I did enjoy myself a nice little lunch with Steve at the Lion House. The rolls. The rolls. THE ROLLS!! I am a sucker for rolls. #26 on my favorite food list is a roll with a piece of ham on it. Scratch that. #26 on my favorite food list is rolls period. MMM. The food there wasn't like anything you would get at Applebys or Chilis. It tasted like you were eating dinner at your Grandma's house.
Here are some pictures from when we were waiting.
This last one is the actual Lion House. Purdy.
Also, update from the Kaleena still off soda: I have now unintentionally replaced my pop addiction with Wint-O-Green Lifesaver Mints. I have been chain-eating (?) these all weekend. The world stopped for about four minutes at work today when I thought I ate my last one. Luckily, I found one stray in my barney-bag of a purse. You never know what you will find in that thing.

thing #55 i would do if i didn't have a landlord.
Being a renter of an apartment in the Avenues can be awesome. But with great awesomeness comes a great list of things that your landlord won't let you do. Thus making me a bitter renter. First thing I would do if it weren't my Mr. Landlord would have a great, big, GIANT dog(s). It's awfully lonely when there isn't a four legged furry animal there to run and greet you at the door whenever you come home to make you feel like a million bucks.
Secondly, I would paint or wallpaper these painfully boring walls. I mean, yeah we can hang pictures and what not but it would seem more like a home with color of our own. Ideally, I would wall paper a wall in my living room with brick wall paper from the Home Depot. It is pretty deceiving. It looks exactly like a brick wall and no one, not even I, would guess it was wall paper. I would be one happy girl if I could do this thing #55 (brick wallpaper). What do you think?

hi blog, remember me?
I felt I was getting a little too into blogging so I gave myself a little break and I was having a little bit of bloggers block. I also have been worried and distracted with everything going on with my mom, it has made me highly emotional (even more than normal, which is scary). Steve has been great with comforting me with everything going on with my mom having her eye removed, he lost vision in his right eye back in fifth grade so he can relate.
What concert would you go to if you could have your pick? Out of current bands, old bands, bands who aren't even together anymore, dead, alive, etc. After a lot of thought, and I mean a LOT of thought, my conclusion would be The Doors; sorry Elvis, Velvet Underground, Hendrix, CCR, Jefferson Airplane, you were this close! It also didn't help that I have a giant crush on Jim Morrison. Unfortunately, he died back in 1971. I can still wish, right?
Yay for the first post in May!

these beds are calling me.
After looking at these pictures, I've never wanted to be in a bed more. The more I say 'bed' the weirder is sounds. "Get your sock puppets off the bed!!" I dunno, it's just an usual word/sound to me.
i wouldn't mind having these.
I found these while browsing the internet and I think I could benefit quite nicely from all three. Especially the shoe wheel. I mean, let's be serious... I could have all the shoe racks in the world and I would still throw my shoes into the heaping giant pile in our closet. Not with the shoe wheel, nuh-uh, my shoes would either be on my feet or in the wheel. Now for the pokeys out of the wall. I feel that these should have already been on walls, on the bedroom walls at least. We could have been avoiding messing rooms for years! I just thought the picture frames were neat.
