it's officially started.

College football has officially started!

I went to the Utah football game last night and it felt great to be back in the stadium. We won of course, what kind of question was that?

I stood in the student section... called the MUSS. The guy I was standing next to was named Normal. Yes, NORMAL. I didn't believe him but with a quick flash of his ID, he wasn't lying. And don't worry, he goes by MOLE, not Norm.

Anyway, our seats are on SECOND ROW.

Oh and since Steve is an Athletic Trainer at the U, he was on the sidelines for the game. Um, jealous. He loved it. He also got on TV next to Coach Whit.

annoying sniffles.

I have an annoying cold.

Dry cough.

My nose feels runny but nothing happens with I blow my nose.

My lungs burn and hurt... especially when I cough.

And I constantly feel hot. Like a fever or something.

UGH.

All I wanted to do was sleep last night so I could wake up and feel like a normal girl. But this cold refused to let me have that.

UGH.

So I will just go drink a bottle of Nyquil, read my Harry Potter on my Harry Potter pillow case, and hope for the best.

the boy i will always love.

Do you know the answer?

Do you WANT to know the answer?

Well the answer is Harry Potter.

I found out today that there is a Harry Potter Wikipedia. I'm not sure how old the site is, but if you already knew about it, don't tell me because I don't want to think about how long I was living without it. And I can never just read about Harry Potter or see a little snippet about Harry Potter and not want to re-read the series. So that's what I'm doing. I'm re-reading the series starting today and even though I already read it a few times, I'm pretty excited.

all the sistas!

Want to know what a picture looks like with three sisters who didn't know if we were smiling for the picture or pulling a crazy face?

This should give you an idea:

That is half of my face on the left.
My pregant sister Shandey in the middle.
And my oldest sister Lacey (who was so hyper when we were taking these) on the right.

We struggled.

going on week 5.

This week will be WEEK 5 that I have not eaten any fast food or partaken in a delicious Mountain Dew... or any pop for that matter. I only drink (sugar free) Red Bull. And it is heaven. I tried finding an address or email address for the Red Bull headquarters to see if they could hook me up for how much I advertise for them... but no luck.

So.

This week:

+I will get to work at 8AM instead of 9:30AM so I can get more $$$

+I will continue to not eat only boring, healthy food. Waaahh.

+I will have dinner at my Grandma's on Tuesday. (I think)

+I will keep clothes off my floor... and everything off the floor. (a quick Wikipedia read on Brown Recluse spiders now has me paranoid on having anything on the floor. Spiders love that shi).

Cheers!

Oh and I took this picture tonight. Seriously, what a wonderful world.

spider: please find a new place for your nasty home.

There is a disgusting spider that is currently living in the doorway to our apartment building. Why he chose that spot to build a nasty ol' web, I may never know. I just wish that he chose another spot. Like a spot that I don't have to walk by numerous times a day! Not to mention, the web is RIGHT NEXT TO the code box where we have to enter the code to get in. But it's given me the chance to work on typing the code in world record time [probably].

I usually don't mind spiders... I get it. We have to have them. Food chain and circle of life and what not. But I just want to know why we have to have such big ones. Ugh. A quick Google search of 'why do so some spiders have to be so freaking big?' didn't really answer that question.

Here is a picture of the bastard.

i wonder...

I wonder what it means when I have a dream that I see a two year old that looked like me as a two year old and she keeps drowning in a lake and I keep saving her?

Anyway, it kind of make me want to me a lifeguard. I think I have my next summer planned.

professional sleeper.

I take my sleeping pretty seriously because it's one of my favorite things to do.
And on a Saturday or Sunday morning, I like to wake up (kind of early so that means 8 or 9)
eat a bowl of cereal and go back to bed.
Because going back to bed after eating breakfast provides a sleep
that feels like no other sleep
and it's the best.

question.

What would ya doOOooo for a Klondike BAR!?

Well, I would walk or drive to the store and get one. That's what I would do.

I have to get ready for a wedding right now but I just wanted to share really fast....

There is no better noise in the world than hearing your 2 nephews and niece squealing and screaming from pure joy that Aunt Kaleena just knocked on their door to come visit.

this is how we do it!

Well, I am obsessed with Red Bull. Sugar free, of course. You can't even tell there isn't any sugar in it because it's just sooooo delicious. I would drink this stuff even if it wasn't designed to make me want to clean the whole world... yeah it gives me THAT much energy. And I need energy these days because I am a 23 year old now and I don't just have all the energy I need when I wake up.

What I've learned from drinking Red Bull is to never drink it on an empty belly or have more than one in less than an hour. This will result in some extreme jitters, bouncing in your seat, not being able to stay seated. But I've been pro-Red Bull for about 6-7 years now. I'm no rookie.

Anyway.

I think a change is coming here soon. I think I might end this blog... and start a new one directly where this one left off. I have come to this conclusion because my life was at an entirely different place when I first started Just Add Kaleena. That beautiful chapter of my life is over and I'm on to the next chapter. So with that in mind, I think it will be a little fitting to start a new blog... but at the same time it would probably be best to just keep it all here and in one place... so when I'm an old lady and I have my grandchildren over cause I'm their babysitter, I can ask them how to turn the computer on and they will be like "Grandmaaaa! We showed you yesterday!" and then I will be like "Well okay, just one more time." And then they will boot the computer and they will sit all around me and on my lap and I will read with them my old blog posts and they will probably hate it and think it's boring but I will make them read it anyway.

So now that I just typed all that out, I just decided I will keep it all here. I've been reading about other blogs lately and it has completely re-inspired to me to start blogging more consistantly again. And i'm excited to.

So chapter two of Just Add Kaleena... STARTS NOW! (Please keep your expectations very low. Keep in mind it's still the crazy, emotional, boring author).

what i'm obsessed with.

My obessions come and go. How I work is I'm either 100% obsessed with something or I am 100% bored with it. Only sometimes will I be in between.

Right now I am obsessed with:

Cheesy potato soup.
Cooking new recipes.
Almond milk.
Naps.
Grapes.
Taking pictures.
This picture of a guy bench-pressing a goose:
The internet.
The Olympics.
Our new toothpaste.
Showers.

Right now I'm confused about:

Why is there a lady laying on her belly using her laptop in front of our building? Looks uncomfortable.

Why will my shins NEVER EVER EVER tan?

Why does the guy named Paul who lives on the other side of our building bug me so bad?

eating healthy is booorrringg!

I'll say it again.

Eating healthy is boorrrring!

Well, I shouldn't say boring... it just sucks when my stomach is making jungle noises and all I want is a huge cheeseburger or huge plate of buffalo wings... but instead I all I get to eat is something like a salad or yogurt.

But I'll stop being a baby and just be happy that I'm seeing benefits from changing my diet completely. I'm not on some crazy diet where I eat SUPER healthy... I just don't eat fast food anymore and when I snack I snack on raspberries, grapes, granola, string cheese etc. And I try to eat as little of sugar as possible. Oh and I strictly drink water. Which I'm not complaining about because water is delicious. Do you know how many times I say "oh my gosh, water is delicious" after I'm drinking it? I love water. And it is delicious.

But yeah. I've been eating healthy for a full week now and I'm already seeing benefits. My skin is looking like I'm straight from a Covergirl photoshop session... okay no, that's a lie. It's not that good, but my skin is clear and really soft! My mood is improved. I don't find myself feeling as 'meh' and I feel really energized and happy.

I think this will last for a while cause i'm not really having a hard time sticking to it. I hope it lasts for a while.

Sorry I just gave you my life story on what I've been eating for the last week.

photos by me.

The other night it was straight up pink outside.
It was weird.
But I hurried and went out to take pictures of the pinkness and the sunset before it was too late.

I can't believe I am 23.
I still think I'm 20.
I wish I was still 20.
I liked 20.
Seriously, how am I 23?

right now.

Right now I am happy I am home.
Right now I am happy that I have a fan blowing in my face.
Right now I am happy the Olympics are on.
Right now I love LIFE cereal.
Right now I'm pretty excited and happy that I made my final payment for my tuition!
Right now I'm not excited anymore because I still have other bills to pay.
