ba ba ba bowling!

Last night was a fun filled night of bowling at the Bonwood Bowling Ally extravaganza!! Bonwood is the best for a lot of reasons... but the #1 reason is because you can bowl THREE games (shoes included, oh yes) for only seven bucks. I mean, for bowling you just can't get cheaper than that. Some would call it a steal.

My first game I took 3rd with the score of 137, second game I got 131 (tied at 2nd) and the third game... well let's just say I wasn't really trying and I only bowled a 92.

When we bowl, it's always my favorite thing to look at the other monitors of the fellow bowlers to see what names they chose. Sometimes it's just their real name but other times you'll see something like BUBBA, The Machine, Odessy, TANK, Playa420, etc. My name is usually Buckmister or Special K.

One day when I'm an old lady i'll have a bowling league with all my old lady friends and it will be a hoot and a half. Matching shirts and all. Looking forward to it.

why sundays are probably the best day of the week. besides thursdays.

Because this is what I did:

1. Slept in til 11:30am. You can call me lazy all you want, but it felt nice. I needed it.
2. Got on my laptop, checked the news, the blogs, the FB, etc. I didn't even go to Youtube. Are you impressed? Good, you should be.
3. Got ready --- Make up, hair, clothes.
4. Went to sushi. (tried a new roll... the crunch roll. Um, amazing. I'll take 12 more right now, please).
5. Went bowling. I'm not telling you my score. So you should know that means I didn't do well. Take those judgmental eyes off me!!
6. Spent some time outside in the wonderful May weather. I can't believe it's May.
7. Took a nap.
8. Typed this.

**Also, I am wanting to try some more sushi rolls instead of the same 3-4 rolls I usually get. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions you have. And if I try the roll and like it and want to marry it, maybe I will give you an award of some kind. But don't get your hopes up. ;D

bits of my weekend.

I loved this weekend because:
1. I spent my Saturday in bed reading. Some people think being lazy is a bad thing. And I disagree.
2. It was rainy and cloudy and stuff. It's my favorite.
3. My favorite Easter candy is now in stores, PEEPS!! It's a marshmellow covered in sugar shaped like a bunny or chick, of course I love it.

I didn't love this weekend because:
1. I finished my super-awesome-fantastic book and now I don't have anything to read for the time being. So until then, you can find me in the kitchen reading... food labels or something.
2. I saw a guy in his car brushing his teeth (wtf) and instead of spitting out the tooth paste... he swallowed.
3. Something or someone was in the apartment on Saturday trying to kill me. Nobody else saw or heard it, but it doesn't mean it wasn't real!!

bits if of my weekend.

I loved this weekend because:
+It has three days instead of two. Wee! [insert raising the roof motion here]
+I ate my most favorite sushi roll at the Red Ginger. Dynamite Roll. Seriously, look at that picture and tell me you aren't drooling. Cause I know I am... still.
+ I went bowling at bowled four, that's right, FOUR strikes in a row.
+I ate a personal pan pizza from Pizza Hut. They are adorable. I didn't remember them being this adorable. I almost didn't want to eat it cause it was just so cute.

I didn't love this weekend because:
+I watched George of the Jungle on TV. Yeah, it's the one you are thinking of Reader. It has Brennan Frasier in it. No clue why it was my favorite movie in 3rd grade.
+I didn't win any contests... or the lottery.
+Nobody surprised me with a basket full of puppies on my doorstep.
+I didn't eat one Otter Pop.
+I had to do the dishes.
+I dropped my cell phone on my face while laying down and texting.

bits of my weekend.

Things I loved about this weekend:
+I bowled the best game of my life... not scorewise, but because I beat Steve AND his brother 2 out of 3 games. Weee! I can't stop celebrating.
+It was filled with Arrested Development. If you haven't see this, you should feel lost in the world.
+I went to my first ever hockey game. Go Grizzlies!
+I got to try Red Ginger Sushi... please go there and try the Dynamite roll. Please.

Things I did not love about this weekend:
+I tried sweet potato fries. Never. Again.
+We had to wait an hour in line to bowl.

what kaleena's happy about:

+Utah beat BYU last night. I'm still overjoyed. You know how it feels when you wake up on Christmas morning? Or your birthday? Yeah, it felt like that this morning.
+I'm cuddling on the couch in a snuggie. Snuggies are probably my number one guilty pleasure. I mean, it's blanket with sleeves.
+Our Christmas tree is up! It's been making our apartment Christmas-ee since Friday. I finally got to hang candy canes on for ornaments. (I couldn't do this when I was little living with my parents cause we always had dogs. Dogs that would ruin Christmas by eating the candy canes off the tree).
[Pictures soon.. er, of our tree... not the dogs ruining Christmas].
+Chewy Gobstopers. While desperately rummaging through our pantry this morning with a crazy look in my eye for breakfast ingredients (which was not successful) I found a box of chewy gobstoppers. Not only yeah... but hell yeah!
+It's snowing. Yeah... it's snowing.
+New cell phone. I'm getting a new friend for my front pocket on Tuesday. Well, according to the Fed Ex website, I should have it on Tuesday.

We went to Bonwood Bowling last night. Normally, I wouldn't be sharing this with you Reader, because it was an atrocious night for bowling scores... but something very exciting was at the Bonwood Bowling ally. No, it wasn't the 17 year old boy who weighed 110 lbs wearing a white polo that went down to his knees with sleeves to his forearms... but it was JOHN STOCKTON!  If you don't know who John Stockton is, then my heart breaks for you.
Everything from his purple polo neatly tucked into his jeans from not one hair on his head out of place. It was truly John Stockton.

bits of my weekend.

Four Things I Learned This Weekend.
1.Eating more than two Baby Bottle Pops will make your tongue feel like somebody scrubbed it with a piece of sandpaper.
2.Our backyard neighbors will always prevent us from sleeping in. For example: by digging gravel and trying to start a broken car... forcing it to sputter for minutes at a time.
3. Thank you pigs in a blanket and chili, for not making me think I have zero skills in the kitchen.
4.I can never watch too much King of the Hill.
