always have luck when luck isn't that needed.

Last night I dyed Shandey's hair. And I really wish dying my own hair was as easy as dying someone elses hair. When I was little, I always wished I could take my head, do my own hair, and then put it back on. I still wish this.  It's so much easier when you have access to all sides of your head and not having to look in the mirror.

Anyway.

After I was done doing her hair, my niece rode with me to the gas station to get some gas. While it was filling up, I was giving her a once in a lifetime game of peek-a-boo. Lots of jumping and crawling around the car just to suprise her with the peek-a-boo. She loved it. As we were driving home, I couldn't find my phone.

Oh well... I always lose my phone...

OH NO! I left it on the roof  of the car last!!

When we finally stop at Shandey's, I get out to see my phone is just safely sitting on top of my car.

How lucky is that?

molly.

I am officially an Aunt of four.
My sister, Shandey, had a baby today!
It is a little baby girl.
Named Molly.
I already love her so much it hurts.

Happy birthday, Molly!
Can't wait to sneak you candy and pop when your mom isn't looking.
Tee hee.

question.

What would ya doOOooo for a Klondike BAR!?

Well, I would walk or drive to the store and get one. That's what I would do.

I have to get ready for a wedding right now but I just wanted to share really fast....

There is no better noise in the world than hearing your 2 nephews and niece squealing and screaming from pure joy that Aunt Kaleena just knocked on their door to come visit.

this is me and my bff.

Her name is Lola and she is my niece.
And I love her so much it hurts.
She calls me KK.
Because to be honest, if full grown adults can't pronounce Kaleena, I wouldn't expect a 2 year old to.

just cause.

Every once in a really frequent while, I have nothing to blog about. So when this happens I resort to making lists. So here are some things that you don't know about me and my life:

1. I don't sleep with a pillow.

2. I wake up at 6am to watch Golden Girls on the Hallmark channel.

3. I sometimes eat when I'm in the shower. This surprisingly takes a lot of practice.

4. I hate frosting. I usually scrape most of it off my cupcake or cake. Ew.

5. I have a salty tooth instead of a sweet tooth.

6. My family had a little goat when I was growing up named Billy. We didn't live on a farm or anything but we did have a goat.

7. I still sleep with my stuffed animal "Puffy" that I've since I was one. Puffy ain't go anywhere anytime soon. From the looks of it, I will be buried with Puffy.

nothing better.

I went to Liberty Park on Friday with my Sisters, their husbands and kids and my Grandma and Uncle.
We rode the ferris wheel!
Question: Did you take that picture?
Answer: Yes.

I don't have to work today which to me is just sensational. Having to work when basically everyone you know doesn't, is just as bad as two people having food poisoning with only one toilet/bathroom.

They have a picture with lightsabers, like this one:

i am thankful for sisters.

I am the youngest out of two Sisters. Sometimes I wish I wasn't the youngest... in the same way I wish I had an identical twin. Anyways, I am very grateful that I have two older Sisters. I went out to dinner with them last night and on the way home I was just thinking how lucky I was that I have them.

Even though we didn't always get along when we were growing up and said mean things I wish I could take back, I remember that they were always there for me when I needed someone. I remember a specific time, I was in my room with the door closed, crying (of course) and they were outside the door trying to cheer me up. They were asking me to come out and sliding notes under the door. I love them so much. We didn't have an easy childhood and I really can't picture how it would've been if I didn't have two older Sisters to be there with me.

i'm starting to think i don't need to sleep.

On Friday morning at work, I found my head bobbing back and forth. You know, the classic bob that happens when you fall asleep while sitting up? Many, many head bobs later, I started thinking about my decision the night before to stay up til 5:18AM when I have to be at work at 8:00AM. (Whyyyyy?) I can be very bad at decision making.

This lead me to think that I rarely sleep anymore, I totaled up my hours of sleep for the week and came up with a grand total of............... TEN HOURS! That's ten hours in one week. It can explain my bizarre behavior, to say the least. Sleeping is indeed delicious, however, I prefer to stay up late. Psh, sleep. Who needs sleep?

Tonight, we ate dinner at my Grandma's. Turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy. Graaaavvyyyyyy.

Today I am grateful for five things:
  • Good hair days.
  • Three day work weeks - Indiana on Thursday, here we come!
  • Sunday dinners with Steve and my family.
  • Daylight savings.
  • Our oven. It's a storage unit of dishes til our Landlord fixes our blasted sink.
ANNOUNCEMENT!  For all you Conan fans: Conan's new show will be on TBS tomorrow night!!
