kaleena's bookshelf: fight club.

Did I just finish reading Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk? Yes.

Is it now probably on my top 4 favorite books/things ever? Certainly.

Do I just want to call everyone I know and talk and talk and talk about this book? Oh yeah.

Do I love this book so much it hurts? Hell. Yes.

Did I just feel overcome with sadness when this book ended before I wanted it to? Yes :( 

Did this book have many, many quotes I adored and wrote down? Of course, here they are:

purple toes!

Right now there is a pretty purple on my toe nails. I think purple is my favorite color to have my toe nails.

I can't believe how much can change in four years. Or just in a year for that matter. Cray cray!

I have really been in the reading mood lately. I keep adding more and more books to my 'to read' list.

I was stuck in traffic for two hours today. I got really hyper and then really tired while sitting in my car in the traffic. It was a fun time in traffic nonetheless.

Golden Girls is on TV now, so that is my cue to end this post.

so many books, so little time.

I did not go to bed until 6am. I spent the night and the wee hours of the morning playing Mario Party with friends. Whenever I go to bed that late, I always think I am going to sleep until like 4pm or 5pm... but I woke up at 10am. I was surprised, and then something happened that I can vaguely remember and then I woke up at 1:30pm.

Playing Mario Party with friends all night is highly recommended. I think that is the first time in history that I spelled 'recommended' correctly on the first try. If you plan to play Mario Party with friends all night, make sure you have lots of treats so you don't have to keep going to the gas station to get more.

After I woke up, I spent 100% of my day on the couch reading. And if you ask me, that is 100% how every day should be spent.

bits of my weekend.

Three things I learned this weekend:
1. At casinos, I guess cleveage becomes a shelf. When I was at the casino, girls had things from packs of cigarettes to cell phones in their cleveage. I even think I saw a book stuffed in there too, and a small plant...
2. If you get home at 9AM from gambling with friends, you will sleep until 3:30pm and feel a mixture of accomplishment and shame.
3. Reading is the greatest escape. Please ignore how cliche and cheesy that sounds.

1. My birthday is in 19 days.
2. Harry Potter 7 part II comes out in 39 days.

read-a-thon.

Remember how fun read-a-thons were in elementary school? You got to read all day and snack on treats? Sorry, I just had a flash back. Maybe at work on Monday I will suggest a read-a-thon... and then probably get laughed at to my face.

Anyways. So far today I have:

+Laid on the couch.
+ Started reading It's Kind Of A Funny Story. Thanks to April.

My to-do list for the rest of the day is:
