sunday is not a funday.

Who really believes Sunday is Sunday Funday?

I spend all of Sunday mentally and emotionally preparing for the next 5 bleak days in which I have to function in an office setting that I believe I was not cut out for.
Is anybody happy in a 9-5 office setting?
It's like a florescent tomb.

I feel a lot older than I actually am.
If I feel this jaded at 26,
I'm terrified to see what 40 feels like.

baking is fun when you don't suck at it.

My sister has an easy recipe for those pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. It only has three ingredients which is just wonderful news for people like me who struggle and have zero skills in the kitchen.

[The three ingredients are a box of spice cake mix, medium can of pumpkin, and chocolate chips. Pour in bowl. Mix. Cook for 12-14 minutes. Boom. You got some cookies.]

My sister said I had to get the medium can of pumpkin. When I got to the store I could only find a small-ish looking one and a huge one. She didn't answer when I called to get to the bottom of the confusion so I asked the nice old lady who was also shopping in the baking aisle. She was so nice and sweet and helpful. She gave me some baking tips (that I already forgot haha) but anyway, I like when people are that nice and helpful to strangers.

And then I came home, make the cookie dough, ate half of it, and baked the rest.

Just now, I stretched my hands out and looked at them while I thought of what else I was gonna say on here and my pinky on my right hand is shaking and quivering at a rate where I should probably be concerned. To WebMD I go....

spooky stuff.

Sunday.

I've never been known to do much on Sundays. I rarely even get out of my pajamas on Sunday. Yesterday, I sat on the couch, read Tuesdays with Morrie (more about this book later), watched Storage Wars, and drank FOUR Red Bull energy drinks.

I thought drinking four Red Bulls would be pretty harmless. But at about 4:30AM I was laying in bed, wide awake, letting my imagination imagine the worst scenarios possible that could become of the creaks I was hearing. I laid there... covers tucked up to my chin, and my eyes as wide as they can go just hoping I could not be a scaredy cat and fall asleep like a normal 22 year old.  I eventually fell asleep and no monsters or ghosts came and got me.

The lesson I learned was... drinking four Red Bulls seems pretty harmless... but it will come back and bite you at 4:30AM when all you want to do is sleep but your imagination keeps you awake.

P.S.
Steve and I saw Mission Impossible : Ghost Protocol yesterday... my response is.... YES.

Enough said.

bad boys, bad boys.

I'm sick today.

I had an alarming dream last night. In this dream, one of those ugly, flying ants was in our bedroom and it was crawling on me, it scared me so bad that it woke me up; only for me to discover that I would be spending this Sunday sick, on the couch. Typically, I would be on the couch anyway, but this time I have an excuse. Wanna know what I absolutely disdain? You can witness the most awful, scary, terrible, worst dream of your life or in the history of ever and when you are sharing it with someone else, they will never know what it was like. And they will judge you. And stare at you. And call you a baby and ask if you need a nightlight.

"A 'scary' dream about a flying ant woke you up?....."

"You just had to be there, alright!!! Can you pass me more tissues?"

The headache that is haunting me right now, makes me want to slice that part of my brain out and drop-kick it into the road where it will be ran over by the next four passing cars.

Today's forecast: being beached on the couch while watching the Cops marathon. Three episodes down already, about twenty left to go.

my favorite color of blue is on my finger nails.

Sunday. You were highly unsatisfactory. There is nothing I liked about you today.

Well, I tried. That was all a lie. This Sunday was one of the finest Sundays I have had in an extensive time. And let me tell you, I feel like I've hardly left the couch. Aahhh. Just how I like it. But don't you judge me. While you were all out being healthy and active... I was at home, very cozy and comfortable.

I'll keep this short.

Steve and I woke up and chatted.
Harassed each other's bed heads.
I made BB's for breakfast (BB = breakfast burritos, I love them so much, I nicknamed them).
Chatted some more.
Couch.
TV.

So if you are as puzzled as I am of my why Sunday that was overflowing of nothing and laziness was just so spectacular to me and why I felt I should share, it's cause I want to look back and say, "oh yeah, I remember that Sunday."
