can't concentrate.

One time when I was in 5th grade, I found out that all of my friends were talking bad about me behind my back. When I found out, all I wanted to do was take the hall-pass to the bathroom and cry.

Cry.
Cry.
Cry.

But I didn't. I held it in and acted like I didn't care and saved it til I got home. When I got home, I screamed as loud and as hard as I could into my pillow.

And I felt so much better.

It turns out, this method still works wonderfully today. But it kind of makes me feel like a crazy.

5th grade Kaleena was brilliant.

truth.

Today I had a tough time getting out of bed. By the time my alarm went off I knew I was not ready to take on the day. I set the sound of my alarm to a rooster... probably the worst decision I've made this week. Waking up to an alarm is alerady the worst... but waking up to a fake URR-URURRRR is even worse. Sorry my rooster impression is so terrible. I felt waaayyyy too lazy to even think about the task of dressing myself. After laying there for ten minutes, I decided I had to get up and not be so lazy and tired. It is now 3:00pm and I'm still wishing I was home in bed. It's just one of those days where nothing comes close to the appeal of a nice, soft, comfy bed.

Now here are some really great and true quotes... all by Jonathan Safran Foer.

“The only thing more painful than being an active forgetter is to be an inert rememberer.”

"I am doing something I hate for you. This is what it means to be in love.”

“The only way to overcome sadness is to consume it. ”

“I was of the opinion that the past is past, and like all that is not now it should remain buried along the side of our memories.”

Can we please talk about how brillian Jonathan Safran Foer is? Ugh. Probably my #2 favorite autor. Chuck Palahniuk is obviously my #1. Forever. Also, it took me forever to remember how to spell his last name correctly without looking it up.

So, since I'm entirely obsessed with the thought of my bed today.. I am going to go home, get in my bed and start reading Everything is Illuminated. Which is by Jonathan Safran Foer. Woo.

i'm fighting the law and i will win. hopefully.

I sneezed like 15 times before noon today. If supersticions prove to be true then I should be getting rich. Show me the money! My bank account will agree that I need it.

If I had to explain today in one word it would be... bumpy! No, wait... awful? No, how about rough? Nah, I will go with wild. But wild makes it sound like it was kind of fun... So I will go with tedious.

Today was tedious.

Here is why.

When I walked out to my car to go to work, I was greeted with a parking ticket. I was furious; mainly because I was perfectly parallel parked with no violation in sight. And dealing with the law in general makes me furious. Then before I over-reacted, I actually read the ticket. I got a ticket for having "expired license plates."  Or as the ticket likes to call it: "plate infraction"

The tags on my license plate say 3 --- meaning March --- meaning I have this whole entire month to renew them before they are considered "expired."

After I read this nonsense on this so called "ticket" the rest of my day pretty much consisted of a lot of phone calls to the courthouse and a lot of yelling. And lot of complaining.

(above) My ticket that caused me so so so much angst. I resisted chewing this ticket up and spitting out so I could take a picture of it.

Reader, I am not paying this ticket. I refuse. I mean, if they were indeed expired, I would gladly pay. But technially my vehicle is still in compliance with the law. I am scheduling a court hearing and disputing the crap out of this ticket. BELIEVE THAT!

IN OTHER NEWS: My lunch was pretty heavenly. I discovered a new soup called "Loaded Baked Potato Soup." Its alternative name is: Loaded Baked Delicious Awsome-tato Soup. It made me happy.

IN OTHER, BUT SAD, NEWS: A year ago today, my beloved 1993 white Ford Explorer that I had and loved (and wanted to be buried in) and owned for 5 years, died. R.I.P. But this day also marks the year mark for having my current car that I named, Proud Mary. She is finally feeling like my car. We are grand friends already.

yesterday will forever be rememebered as the day....

...that I yelled and talked to more inanimate objects that actual human beings.

I yelled at my computer at work for being stupid.

I talked to my car after I couldn't remember where I parked it.

I yelled at my cell phone for doing things that I don't even want it to do.

I lectured the dishes as I was doing them for being so hard to get sparkly clean.

I guess this means I am in the first stage of going insane.

my day in sixty seconds or less.

Here is my Thursday in sixty seconds or less... Depending on how fast you read.

*Ate a poppy seed muffin the size of my head for breakfast.
*Worked. Obviously.
*Played an 80 point word in the game... WORDS WITH FRIENDS.
*Was tapping my steering wheel like a drum... the guy in the car next me was singing with his windows down so I yelled over to him 'we should start a band!' He laughed and drove away. So I will take that as a NO.
*Bought two bags of my favorite Starbursts.
*Cooked dinner.
*Drank a large Red Bull energy drink. I feel another caffeine apocalypse coming on. I see no bedtime in the near future.

things that would make a day memorable.

Ingredients to a perfect day would be:

Walking across the Brooklyn Bridge.
And endless (literally) bucket of Dippin' Dots.
Napping in a hammock.
Playing on a tireswing.
ST BERNARD PUPPIES.

I wish these things were apart of my day today.
