the music is for the sad man.
Reader, sometimes I think I am just too sensitive for the world.
"Books don't offer real escape, but they can stop a mind scratching itself raw."
“Beauty of whatever kind, in its supreme development, invariably excites the sensitive soul to tears.”

two more days!
Two more days and we will be a couple of tourists Indiana! I'm not really sure what I'm expecting! But I like it like that! If you can't tell from all the !'s I am very very very very excited! Okay, now I'm just being annoying.... !
Ever since my wallet was wallet-napped, I've been plotting conspiracy theories and giving people the skeptical hippo look. Not just about my wallet, but about... everything.
For example, we had pizza for dinner (mmm stuffed crust, I would be jealous too, Reader). When the pizza man knocked at the door, there was a long, unfortunate misunderstanding. In short, he had to call the Pizza Hut, read my card number and confirm BLAH BLAH BLAH! He handed over the pizza, left, we smiled, ate, then frowned cause we felt round and stout. Then as I was doing my best impression of a lump on the couch, arms like noodles at my side, my eyes grew wide... very round and very wide.
I thought, what if the pizza guy wasn't confirming my payment/card with Pizza Hut? What if he called his buddy and gave him in my card number!?? The bastard! He thought he would fool me with his polite manors that a golden retriever would be jealous of!

i'm starting to think i don't need to sleep.
On Friday morning at work, I found my head bobbing back and forth. You know, the classic bob that happens when you fall asleep while sitting up? Many, many head bobs later, I started thinking about my decision the night before to stay up til 5:18AM when I have to be at work at 8:00AM. (Whyyyyy?) I can be very bad at decision making.
This lead me to think that I rarely sleep anymore, I totaled up my hours of sleep for the week and came up with a grand total of............... TEN HOURS! That's ten hours in one week. It can explain my bizarre behavior, to say the least. Sleeping is indeed delicious, however, I prefer to stay up late. Psh, sleep. Who needs sleep?
Tonight, we ate dinner at my Grandma's. Turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy. Graaaavvyyyyyy.
Today I am grateful for five things:

Today I am grateful for five things:
- Good hair days.
- Three day work weeks - Indiana on Thursday, here we come!
- Sunday dinners with Steve and my family.
- Daylight savings.
- Our oven. It's a storage unit of dishes til our Landlord fixes our blasted sink.

i said i wasn't going to get on facebook today...
...just so I didn't have to read the 114 updates quoting, "Remember, remember, the fifth of November..." But I forgot. Shame on me!
Have you ever been so angry you swung a cactus? I haven't, but it sounds intimidating. However, a few nights ago, me and Steve were so bored we were punching cereal. You can read that sentence again if you need to, it's a little.... unusual.
Steve has many smashing qualities. Besides making a toasted sandwich that will make your knees weak and birds sing outside, he has a great imitation of a boxer's stance. In fact, whenever I approach him (at home, the store, at sports games, child labors, funerals, etc) he will immediately do his boxer's stance and throw fake punches. Like I mentioned earlier, a few nights ago we were both painfully bored and Steve said:
"Hold up your hands so I can punch them."
"No, that'll hurt!"
"I won't do it that hard, hold them up."
"I don't want a broken hand. Umm.... punch this plate instead?"
"Yeah, right!"
"Okay, punch this box of cereal."
"Ha, okay, hold it out."
So there I was in the middle of our little, tidy kitchen, holding out a box of Fruity Pebbles to my right.
Steve: "You punch THROUGH the box, not AT the box."
After he said that, It was a few stressful seconds and then....
Reader, Fruity Pebbles were sprinkling everywhere. It was pure magic! In less than three seconds, our kitchen was covered in Fruity Pebbles and my favorite part is, the box landed perfectly on the shelf by the sink. I was this close to making a Fruity Pebble angle on the kitchen floor. It was so beautiful, we didn't want to clean it up! But... we did. What do you think we are? Some sort of childish animals?
Please believe me, Reader, when I say we don't usually do things like this. This was just another danger of being paralyzingly bored on a weeknight after all the good TV shows are over.
IN OTHER NEWS
We are currently without a sink in the kitchen. Not due to any strange antics, (why would you think that?) but because I can be an idiot. A true idiot!
From me to you, Reader... have a GREAT weekend.

my shoes are cooler than your shoes.
Look! My shoes! I like them a lot.
Help wanted: There is a knife in my heart. Needing some help getting it removed. It was put there at work today when I realized that I can't go to the midnight showing of Harry Potter because I will be on a bus en route to San Diego at that time.

november.
This month I will:
- Prepare a decent dinner five nights out of seven.
- Take out the recycling when it's full... instead of adding to the heap.
- Take a lot more pictures.
- Make more lists. Hee hee.
- Be better at answering my phone and texting back....
- See Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows: Part I.
- Vote!
- Wear stretch pants on Thanksgiving.
- Travel to Indiana AND San Diego. [insert raising the roof motion here... and raising eye brows up and down vigorously].
- Try to cut down my cheese fries intake. Keyword: try. Baby steps.
bits of my weekend.
Six things I learned this weekend:
1.Halloween is fun, but it's more fun when you are under ten years old.
2.Tootsie Rolls are delicious, no matter how much they make me drool.
3.My imagination is out to get me.
4.Our apartment is cuter than a piglet cuddling with a puppy when it's clean. Like, REALLY clean.
5.Waiting for a debit card in the mail is agonizing.
6.I'm sad that there aren't any Halloweeny pictures for my Halloween weekend. Wtf!
