just one out of the six reasons why i want a vw bus.

I want to take a road trip across the entire United States in a VW Bus for our honeymoon. Yes, puh-lease!

thoughts of kaleena.

Things I've been thinking about today:
-Seafood. Mainly crab. I am seriously obsessed. It's just SO good!
-My books I'm [not so] patiently waiting for to come from Amazon.com.
-My new theory about Amazon.com. I think it somehow sprouted from the word amazing.
AMAZon --- AMAZing. Eh? Eh? They are basically the same thing.
-How Christmas trees are 31654684135135 times more hard to take down then put up. Gah. Just go away tree, leave me alone.
-That today is 1-11-11. I would sit and admire this every time I wrote the date today.
-Scrubs. Just because I watched it for like 48 hours straight this weekend. It's burned in my memory.

bits of my weekend.

This is basically what my weekend looked like. We spent it by being swallowed by our couches since Steve is still recovering from his surgery.

Two Things I learned this weekend:
1. I am obsessed with Maple & Brown Sugar oatmeal. I just re-discovered it.
2. It feels good to watch an entire season of Scrubs (season 4) with Steve and go to bed at 5AM when it's finally over.

Seriously though, Maple & Brown Sugar Oatmeal is the best.

sweet pea.

I only think of one thing when I hear Sweet Pea (from Bath & Body Works) or get a good whiff of it.

7th grade P.E. class.

For whatever reason, my classmate Wency, liked to spray the Sweet Pea body lotion before, during and after P.E. I used to like the smell til Wency made it a personal goal to kill and torture me with it. Most people was happy that P.E. was over so they didn't have to stand awkwardly around pretending they were participating. Me? I was happy to escape Sweet Pea.

It didn't stop there. A co-worker of mine now likes to spray a certain body spray after she is done smoking.

Me: *sniff, sniff* That smells like Swee.... NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

I know, Reader. It's hard. I thought my Sweet Pea days were done after the 7th grade.

But guess what? Somebody gifted me Sweet Pea body wash for Christmas. But why? And guess what? I like it. But ONLY the body wash. I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHO I AM ANYMORE!!

my mind is very full.

I've had so much on my mind today that when I got home from work, I stepped out of my car and was like, "Whoa, I don't even remember driving here. " It was like I just woke up. I hope I didn't run anyone over...

I have this book called The Best Book of Useless Information Ever, I was reading it last night and did you know...

-The screwdriver was invented before the screw. I don't know if I believe that. That doesn't make any sense.
-A small child can crawl through a Blue Whale's major arteries. I wish I knew that when I was a small child! That would've been on each one of my letters to Santa.
-There are more plastic pink flamingos in America than real life ones. That's understandable.
-More toilets flush during half time of the Super Bowl than any other time of the year. Haha.
-The largest pumpkin pie ever baked weighed 2,020 pounds and was baked in Ohio in 2005. WHY WASN'T I IN OHIO IN 2005!!?
-A chain of gyms have now started offering yoga classes for dogs. *Facepalm.
-On an average day in the United States, about 40 people are hurt on a trampoline. This is why I hate trampolines. Trampolines are Satan's best friend. I lost count of all my injuries from trampolines. Most memorable was when I slipped and landed on my back as I opened my eyes, I see my 6'3, 220 pound father descending from above to land on  my belly. NEVER. AGAIN.

sometimes.

Sometimes I eat snacks while preparing dinner. Because you need appetizers at home too!

Sometimes I make threats to leave my bowling ball at the ally when I bowl a pathetic game. One of these times...

Sometimes I act like my sister when somebody mistakes me for her. They have no idea either.

Sometimes I wish going from brunette to blond wasn't such a hassle.

Sometimes I contemplate making this blog private just for me.

Sometimes I feel robbed of Christmas spirit when I think that I didn't have one sip of egg nog. I don't care if you don't like egg nog, that just means more for meee!!

Sometimes I wish I had a little sister.

Sometimes I wish I was a synchronized swimmer. Oh yeah.

because sometimes getting something neat in the mail is the best part of my day.

Look what came in the mail this week!
Thank you Amazon.com
Reader, if you haven't read this before. You should.

eye love you.

Remember how I said Steve was blind in one eye? Well, Steve had surgery on his right eye yesterday.

He was in a car accident in 5th grade which caused him to lose vision in his right eye; his optic nerve was completely detached. We were in the same 5th grade class and I remember when our teacher explained to the class what happened to him and that he would be out for a few months. I was heartbroken and I made him a get-well card all by myself, even though we weren't really "friends" in 5th grade.

Ever since the accident, his right eye didn't sit straight, so the purpose of the surgery yesterday was to tighten the muscles to make it sit straight again.

SUCCESS!

The surgery went really well and only took about an hour. Whew! Right now his eye is just blood shot with a cotton patch thingy over it. When we went to the doctor today for a post-op, I got to witness the doctor perform surgery again on Steve's eye! Oh and yeah, Steve was awake for it. How many people can say they were awake while a doctor did surgery on their eye ball? Yeah probably not a lot. It was trippy. But as Steve was laying there on the table calm and relaxed, I realized how much I admired him. He was so brave. I love him.

I also realized how much I love him when he was talking about the zombie apocalypse right before he was put under on Tuesday.

This kid can now say he has played 'Simon Says' with a horse.

hey, so, look at this sunset...

This what was going on during my ride home from work. It's weird though cause this was at, like, 4:30pm ish.

Day #3 in the bang-growing-out-diaries --- This may be harder than I thought.

goodbye bangs.

Goodbye bangs. I liked you a lot. You were probably my favorite hairstyle I've had in the history of my life. You got me a lot of compliments and also a lot of rude remarks. But I'm looking for a new look for 2011 and I'm sorry, but you have to go. This doesn't have to be forever, we might meet again... in a few years... or months.

january.

Goals and to-do list this month:

-Buy less stuff on Amazon. It's getting out of control.
-Take the Christmas tree & decorations down, no matter how sad it makes me.
-Drink more water and a lot less soda.
-Get an oil change for my car. Uggghhhhh!!!
-Read at least 3-4 books.
-Stop making so many lists. Sheesh.

this is what my new year's eve looked like...

You can be jealous. While everyone else was out in the freezing cold at some extravagant party, we had some friends over and ate junk food. Well.. it was mostly me eating the junk food.

11:59pm
Me:  3....2....1...
Everyone: HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Me: *turns to Steve next to me on the couch for a New Years kiss...*
Steve: *insert Chewbaca noise here*
